WHAT IS CLOSING GAPS?
Closing Gaps sets the expectation that all students and all student subgroups make improvements
in achievement rates. This component is based on CCRPI improvement targets for academic achievement,
which are represented by improvement flags, and it provides an opportunity for schools to demonstrate
the progress made in improving student performance among all student subgroups.

Given the impact of pandemic-related data limitations on state's accountability systems, the U.S. Department of Education approved Georgia’s one-year modifications to CCRPI which include no Summative Ratings (no overall 0-100 scores reported) and no Closing Gaps reported.
